ZSEM Alumni in Top 100 Managers under 40

The weekly business magazine Lider has included six of our successful alumni in the list of the 100 Top managers under the age of 40. Congratulations to Ivan Artuković, Stiven Toš, Ivan Zubak, Lana Gašparić, Miroslav Petek and Stipe Borovac!

Ivan Artuković worked in various positions at Franck during his studies at ZSEM, from trainee to head of department. He has been managing Franck for five years now,  is in charge of 473 employees and made 855 million HRK revenues in challenging times. Last year, he took on the task of managing the company as the only member on the Management Board.

Stiven Toš, after a few years in a financial institution, was offered to run Bomark Paka, which was a confirmation of his great work, but was also a big challenge.

Ivan Zubak graduated from ZSEM as the best student of his generation, and has been working at Auto Zubak since 2003. Since then, he has worked in sales, marketing, accounting, and was head of the R&D department in 2006. Two years later, he was part of the Human Resources Management team, the Research and Development Department at Auto Zubak and the ORYX Group.

Lana Gašparić, director of the company Gašparić Auto, started working in the family business after graduating from high school. She says that being able to directly apply the knowledge gained at ZSEM was a great experience. Lana Gašparić held various positions in the company, until she became manager in 2010.

Miroslav Petek is the director of Elektrocentar Petek. Upon completing his studies at ZSEM, he became the sales and marketing manager in the company. Today, he is at the helm of the company, which in 25 years became one of the leading companies in Croatia in the field of electric energetics, telecommunications and construction, as well as wholesale and retail of electrical and building materials and equipment.

Stipe Borovac is the deputy director of the company Borovac. As he emphasizes, the most important ingredient of success is passion for the job you are doing. When there is passion, you will overcome all other obstacles and problems. He says that the foundation of passion that later transforms into success lies in: humility, perseverance and lifelong learning – Then, “Only the sky is the limit”.

During their studies at ZSEM, all of these alumni balanced their student obligations with their business responsibilities in order to become successful, experienced managers. We are pleased that six of the top 100 managers under 40 on the list are ZSEM alumni.
