The aim of the Department of Economics and Mathematics is to understand the production and distribution of resources at the level of the individual, company and society, and to evaluate the financial and social policies that shape these phenomena.
The courses are designed to provide insight into the basics of economic theory and scientific explanations of economic phenomena, introduce students to basic analytical techniques in economics and models of economic analysis, and analyze current economic events in Croatia and the world.
The lecturer’s areas of expertise include deregulation and privatization, technology, public finance and international politics.
