We proudly congratulate our students who this year won first place in the Croatian edition of the prestigious CFA Institute Research Challenge 2025/2026.
The competition finals took place in early March 2026 in Zagreb, bringing together the top finance students from across Croatia to present their in-depth analyses of ING-GRAD’s business. The winning team – Marin Lesić, Lovro Lesić, Magda Slovenec, Marija Faullend Heferer, and Dominic Markovina, under the mentorship of Tomislav Bajić, CFA and Tomislav Kesić, M.Sc., CFA, MRICS – produced a comprehensive equity research analysis and successfully defended their valuation before a panel of industry experts.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge gives students practical experience as analysts, mentorship from CFA charterholders, and the opportunity to connect with the finance industry. The competition involves detailed financial analysis, valuation, and the defense of an investment thesis, requiring precision, teamwork, and the ability to translate complex financial insights into clear investment recommendations.
This achievement once again highlights the strength of our academic foundation and the dedication of our students to excellence in finance. Congratulations to all teams who participated—especially our winners, who will now represent Croatia.
