Congratulations on the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America

On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America, Zagreb School of Economics and Management extends its sincere congratulations to the American people and to all friends of the United States around the world.

The connection between Croatia and the United States has deep historical roots dating back to the time of the Republic of Dubrovnik, while generations of Croatian immigrants have made significant contributions to the development of American society, economy, science, and culture.

Since its very beginning, ZSEM has developed strong ties with American universities and the Croatian-American community. A special place in the development of our school belongs to John Carroll University in Cleveland, which provided important support to ZSEM during its formative years. Over the years, numerous professors, students, and members of the Croatian community in the United States have contributed to the growth of academic cooperation between our two countries.

Today, ZSEM actively cooperates with a number of American universities, and many American students have studied in Zagreb, while ZSEM students have continued their education in the United States.

We are especially pleased that Croatia and the United States are today more closely connected than ever — through education, business, tourism, and people-to-people ties. The introduction of a direct air connection between New York and Split further brings our countries and peoples closer together.

We believe that the friendship and cooperation between Croatia and the United States will continue to grow in the years ahead — for the benefit of our peoples and future generations.
