ZSEM Leader in AI Integration in Education

On Thursday, May 28, 2026, a meeting was held within the EUonAIR alliance, which, alongside ZŠEM (Zagreb School of Economics and Management), was attended by representatives of all higher education institutions involved in the project. During the meeting, a set of artificial intelligence technologies was presented, which are available to all members of the EUonAIR alliance as of today. Access to these technologies is open to both teaching staff and students.

In this way, ZSEM becomes the first higher education institution in the Republic of Croatia to systematically and organizationally apply artificial intelligence in teaching, as well as an educational tool and support system for its students. The journey to this moment spanned several years. In 2020 the school’s management decided to dedicate special attention to artificial intelligence technologies. In 2021 the first internal training sessions for teaching staff on AI and its significance were organized. In 2023 the thematic conference HEIC 2023, dedicated to artificial intelligence in higher education, was held. In 2024 following four years of active support from the school, the Croatian translation of the most prestigious textbook in the field of artificial intelligence was published. That same year, ZSEM joined the EUonAIR alliance while continuing its research work in AI applications. Through strategic thinking about the skills and technologies that current generations of students will need most in their future workplaces or their own companies, ZSEM once again proves that it rightfully belongs to the league of top business schools worldwide.
