At this year’s Dubrovnik Forum – “Channelling the Change”, our Dean Professor Mato Njavro moderated the high-level panel “The Future of Global Trade: Bilateralism, Multilateralism or Fragmentation?”, which explored current challenges in global trade and the evolving shape of the international trade architecture.
The panel brought together Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Lu Shaye, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs, Boris Vujčić, Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Željana Zovko, Member of the European Parliament (EPP), and Andreas Schaal, Global Relations and Co-operation Director at the OECD.
The session sparked a dynamic exchange on EU-China trade relations, the resilience of multilateralism, and the direction of global commerce in a rapidly changing world.
We are proud that our students, including those from the International Summer School, participated at the Dubrovnik Forum and had the opportunity to attend and follow this important discussion first-hand.
Congratulations to the organizers and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia for hosting such a high-level and timely event. Events like this reaffirm Croatia’s role as a hub for international cooperation and policy exchange.
