On the occasion of defining the framework of closer cooperation, the ambassador of China H.E. mr. Qi Qianjin, accompanied by the head of education office of the Chinese embassy mr. Xu, visited ZSEM last Wednesday (February 22), where he met with Dean Mato Njavro and representatives of ZSEM’s team for China, project advisor to the dean Tan Liyuan and prof. Zvonimir Stopić. During the meeting, they discussed China’s position in the world, the still insufficiently fulfilled potential of Croatian-Chinese cooperation, and the tempting opportunities created by the new global circumstances. A special focus of the conversation was placed on ZSEM’s initiatives regarding China, i.e. the existing wide network of cooperation with Chinese universities, which ZSEM plans to further expand, and ZSEM’s “CroAsia” institute, which over the last few challenging years has become one from the main pillars of Croatia’s cooperation with China and Asia. After a fruitful conversation that helped to specify several goals of future cooperation, the ambassador made a tour of ZSEM and met with ZSEM students from China.
