Asia Immersion Week in Singapore

Last week, Zagreb School of Economics and Management Global Executive MBA
and Executive MBA students completed an Asia Immersion Week in Singapore.

Across a focused programme of guest sessions and site visits, students engaged
directly with senior leaders shaping the region’s economic and strategic reality – from
geopolitics and foreign policy to finance, sustainability markets, venture capital,
enterprise AI, and regional go-to-market execution.

Speakers and hosts included:

  • Bilahari Kausikan – retired Singaporean diplomat and former Permanent
Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; former Ambassador to Russia and
Permanent Representative to the United Nations; widely recognized for clear-
    eyed analysis of geopolitics
  • Mirko Jurišić, Deutsche Bank – Head of Audit
  • Andrea Rumignani, Aither – carbon markets and sustainability, including trading
    and regional development from Singapore
  • Dimitra Taslim, Granite Asia – investing across Asia and the execution realities
    behind growth strategies
  • Dr. Joey Tan – technology executive (former Microsoft, AWS, Alibaba) focused
on scaling enterprise platforms and AI-enabled transformation across Asia
  • Igor Vincetic, General Manager Singapore & Malaysia Electrolux – regional
general management and consumer-market execution in Southeast Asia

Beyond Singapore, the week built a working understanding of the wider Southeast
Asian context – what differentiates markets, how regional HQs operate, and what has
propelled Singapore to exceptional levels of development.
