My name is Antun Poković, and I come from Dubrovnik. I chose to study at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management for several reasons, but primarily because, in my opinion, it is the best business school in Croatia. Before enrolling, I researched the experiences of former and current students and spoke with people who had completed different faculties. Their positive feedback only confirmed that I had made the right decision.
One of the most memorable experiences during my studies so far has been participating in the Winter School program in Turkey. Even though I have only been at ZSEM for a short time, this is undoubtedly one of my favorite moments. The program was incredibly enriching – from meeting and socializing with international students to attending inspiring lectures. Not only did I form new friendships, but I also broadened my horizons and learned a lot about different cultures and business practices. I would highly recommend such an opportunity to any student who gets the chance.
I am extremely satisfied with my first year at the university, mainly due to the approachability of professors and their ability to engage students in shaping their future careers. Professors are not just there to pass on theoretical knowledge; they also encourage us to think critically and prepare us for real business challenges.
The more time I spend at ZSEM, the more I realize how many opportunities it offers to students. From internships, student exchange programs, and part-time jobs to student clubs and lectures by successful business leaders – the options are vast. For any field of economics that interests a student, ZSEM has a structured path and solutions to help achieve their goals.
When it comes to my future career, I am still exploring different options and trying to find my place in the business world. At the moment, I enjoy studying, participating in exchange programs, and spending time with my colleagues. My goal is to gather as much information as possible so I can make a rational and well-informed decision about my professional path.
One event that has helped me a lot in this regard is Student Future Day, an annual event organized by ZSEM for students of all years. This event allows students to connect with potential employers and explore different industries and job opportunities.
Right now, I am not too worried about the future because I am confident that the knowledge and opportunities ZSEM provides will help me build a successful career. I know I am on the right path and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
