Education: Born on August, 24, 1979., citizen of Croatia. Graduate studies: J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek Law School (dipl. iur. = Bachelor of Laws degree in 2002). Postgraduate studies on European Law: University of Zagreb Law School (Master of Laws degree in 2008). Doctor of Laws: University of Zagreb Law School, degree in 2010. Visiting Researcher (US Department of State Fellowship) at University of Iowa IC School of Law in 2009; at Jagiellonski University in Krakow Law School, Center for European Law, Poland in 2006; at Faculty of Law Lund, Raoul Wallenberg Institute, Sweden in 2005 (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency Fellowship).
Employment History: Dr. Jelinic is associate professor at J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek Law School where he teaches civil procedure and related legal subjects. He used to teach the law of commercial contracts, company law and European (public) law. He is proud to serve as an external associate and lecturer at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management where he teaches Commercial law course.
Professional and teaching experience, membership in professional and other associations: Internship at Osijek County and Commercial Courts, 2002-2003. Croatian State Bar Examination – admitted to the Bar. He is actively engaged in the work of the Law Clinic at the J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek Law School. Dr. Jelinic has had more than a few speaking and training engagements in Croatia and abroad. Till today, he published more then twenty papers on different topics. At the moment his research interests are focused on regulation of legal services market, access to justice and efficiency of justice, different procedural instruments of consumer protections etc. He is member of Croatian Academy for Legal Sciences, US Alumni Community of Croatia, Language4Law Project etc.
