Dr. iur. Božena Ramljak (LL.M.) has been senior lecturer at the Department of Legal Disciplines of the Zagreb School of Economics and Management since 2009. She teaches Fundamentals of Commercial Law and Insurance Law. Also, Dr. iur. Ramljak is a certified permanent court interpreter for the German language and is full-time responsibility for the position of Senior Sector Advisor in the Sector for Harmonization of Domestic Regulations and International Cooperation in the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency.
During her studies and later in her business career, she gained work experience in marketing, entrepreneurship and law. She attended training and conferences in Croatia, Germany, France, Spain and Belgium in insurance law, financial law, commercial law, labour law. European law, takeovers of joint-stock companies, public speaking and negotiation. She actively participated in the negotiations during the presidency of the Republic of Croatia in the Council of the European Union in 2020. She is the author of the textbook “Insurance Law” and several other articles in the Croatian language.
She completed her legal studies in 2005 at the University of Heidelberg (Karls-Ruprecht Universität). Then, as a scholarship holder of the state of Baden-Württemberg, she obtained a master’s degree in comparative state and legal sciences (European law) at the Andrassy Gyula University in Budapest, where she obtained a master’s degree in legal – LL.M. She holds a PhD in insurance law from the Faculty of Law in Vienna.
