Graduation Ceremony

On 25 June 2026, the Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM) held its Graduation Ceremony for undergraduate and MBA graduates in the Aula Magna, celebrating the successful completion of studies of another generation of ZSEM students. A total of 114 graduates were awarded their diplomas, including 54 undergraduate students and 60 MBA graduates.

The ceremony began with the formal procession of graduates, followed by the Croatian national anthem performed by the Vocal Ensemble Angeluš. Guests were then welcomed by Dean Mato Njavro, PhD, who congratulated the graduates and wished them continued success in their professional and personal journeys.

This year’s ceremony also featured the presentation of the EUonAIR Alliance, an international initiative dedicated to integrating artificial intelligence into higher education. As a member of the alliance, ZSEM continues to contribute to the development of innovative educational models, strengthen students’ digital competencies, and prepare future leaders for the challenges of an increasingly dynamic global marketplace.

The audience was also addressed by Vjekoslav Majetić, founder and co-owner of the DOK-ING Group, who shared his insights on entrepreneurship, innovation, and the importance of lifelong learning. On behalf of the graduating class, speeches were delivered by Magda Slovenec, representing the undergraduate graduates, and Nicolò Camurri Piloni, representing the MBA graduates.

The central part of the ceremony was the presentation of diplomas and special recognitions, awarded by Dean Mato Njavro, PhD, Prof. Maja Martinović, PhD, Vice Dean of the MBA Programme, and Goran Oblaković, PhD, Vice Dean of Undergraduate Studies.

Following the diploma presentation, the ceremony concluded with the academic anthem Gaudeamus, performed by the Vocal Ensemble Angeluš. Graduates, their families, friends, faculty members, and guests then gathered for a group photograph and a celebratory reception, marking the completion of an important chapter and the beginning of exciting new opportunities.

This year’s Graduation Ceremony will also highlight the EUonAIR Alliance, a European initiative dedicated to integrating artificial intelligence into higher education. Through this alliance, ZSEM actively contributes to the development of innovative educational models, the enhancement of digital competencies, and the preparation of students for the evolving demands of the future labour market.

The programme will commence with the entrance of the graduates, followed by the Croatian national anthem. Guests will then be welcomed by Prof. Mate Njavro, PhD, Dean of ZSEM. The audience will also hear remarks from the Guest of Honour, Mr. Vjekoslav Majetić, Founder and Co-owner of the DOK-ING Group and Director of DOK-ING Energo, as well as from this year’s graduate representatives: Magda Slovenec, representing the Undergraduate Programmes, and Nicolò Camurri Piloni, representing the Graduate MBA Programme.

The central part of the ceremony will be the presentation of diplomas and special awards, led by Mate Njavro, PhD, Dean; Maja Martinović, PhD, Associate Dean of the Graduate MBA Program; and Goran Oblaković, PhD, Associate Dean of the Undergraduate programs.

Following the diploma presentation, the ceremony will conclude with the academic anthem Gaudeamus Igitur, a group photograph, and a reception, providing graduates, their families, friends, faculty members, and guests with an opportunity to celebrate this important academic milestone together.
