Within the framework of "ERASMUS BLENDED SHORT TERM MOBILITY"

Within the framework of the ERASMUS Blended Short-Term Mobility, students from EU universities are eligible to apply for EU funding to support their participation in qualifying modules of the Summer School program. This blended format aligns with the ERASMUS initiative for select courses, providing students with a supported learning experience subject to course eligibility.

The International Summer School program hosts students from all over the world who are interested in spending 2 weeks, 4 weeks or 6 weeks learning and experiencing academic excellence in beautiful Croatia. Our Summer School program offers a variety of bachelor and master courses in English, taught by renowned lecturers and researchers. Apart from the in-class academic program, our summer program offers a variety of educational and fun field trips, as well as an additional free elective course Croatian Studies… The rich social program is done through the extensive ZSEM summer buddy program.

Study Trips

Term 1:
Students will visit National Park Plitvice Lakes, the coastal city of Zadar, and National Park Kornati. The trip lasts 2 days and 1 night, with hostel accommodation included.
Term 2:
Students will visit National Park Krka, the coastal city of Šibenik, and a company visit. The trip lasts 2 days and 1 night, with hostel accommodation included.
Term 3:
Students will visit the Peninsula of Istria and the island of Brijuni. The trip lasts 2 days and 1 night, with hostel accommodation included.
All Terms:
Students from each term will all enjoy a city tour in Zagreb.

Program

ZSEM International Summer School Program offers courses on the bachelor and master levels. Courses are credited with 5 ECTS / 2.5 US credits. Students can take courses from any of the 3 terms. They can choose only one term, or they can take 2 or even 3 terms. It is possible to choose only one course per term. Additionally, they have the option to choose the elective course Croatian Studies that is accredited with 2 ECTS / 1 US credit and the elective courses are for free.

    Refund policy

    For cancellations before April 27th, a full refund will be issued minus 10% administrative fees.
    For cancellations after April 27th, a partial refund will be issued in the amount of 50% of the tuition fee.
    For cancellations after June 1st, no refund will be issued.

    ZSEM reserves the right to cancel a course in case there are not enough applicants. In this case ZSEM will offer another option or refund the fees.

    Students are also free to find their own accommodation through other agencies.
    Students also can choose to apply for the students’ dormitory through ZSEM (this is the

International Summer School

Other information

All students are required to have health and travel insurance from their home country prior to their arrival in Croatia. This type of insurance must be valid in case any health services will need to be used while staying in Croatia. Any questions and support students may require prior to arrival and during their stay can be directed to the Program Coordinator.
