ZSEM Students Reach CFA EMEA Final

Students from ZSEM have achieved outstanding success at this year’s CFA Research Challenge, advancing to the EMEA Regional Final.

The ZSEM team – Marin Lesić, Lovro Lesić, Marija Faullend Heferer, Dominic Markovina, and Magda Slovenec – represented CFA Society Croatia and secured their place among the top 18 teams globally. The competition brought together more than 7,000 students from over 1,100 universities worldwide, making this accomplishment particularly significant.

As part of the competition, the team conducted an in-depth equity research analysis of Ing-Grad, demonstrating a high level of analytical expertise, financial knowledge, and teamwork.

This success would not have been possible without the dedicated mentorship of industry mentor Tomislav Bajić, CFA, and faculty mentor Tomislav Kesić, M.Sc., CFA, MRICS, whose guidance and support played a key role throughout the process.

We also congratulate the team representing CFA Society Slovenia on their achievement, highlighting strong regional representation in this year’s EMEA Regional Final.

The ZSEM team is scheduled to present in the next stage of the competition on Thursday at 17:40.
