The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a highly successful Australian university with an applied emphasis in courses and research.

Based in Brisbane, the university has a global outlook, some 42,000 students, including 6000 from overseas, and an annual budget of more than AU$750 million. Courses are in high demand and its graduate employment rate is well above the national average for Australian universities.

The Country

Australia officially the Commonwealth of Australia is a country comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania, and numerous smaller islands. Brisbane is a great city. Built around the Brisbane River, our city is a unique blend of the old and new. Our inner city connects to our green, open suburbs, where our population makes the most of the great Queensland lifestyle.

The weather’s comfortable, and public transport makes it easy to get around. Brisbane is a safe and relaxed city. Brisbane is big enough to be interesting and always have something to do, and small enough to travel around easily and occasionally run into someone you’ve met before.
