The Faculty of Economics –Skopje that operates within the integrated state university “Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje” is the biggest educational and research institution in the field of economics and business in the Republic of Macedonia.
The Faculty’s mission is to provide continuous education of highly qualified professionals capable of meeting the challenges of the new millennium and of strengthening the international competitiveness of Macedonian companies by offering high quality programs in business and economics.
Republic of Macedonia, a country of nature, the cradle of culture, the homeland of Mother Teresa, a crossroads of civilizations. Biblical Macedonia is the place from where St. Paul the Apostle spread Christianity in to Europe. Macedonia represents a geographical connection between Central Europe, Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. Climatic conditions have different characteristics from the typical Mediterranean to Continental, which provides conditions for development of different types of tourism.Macedonia’s tourist product is a rich combination of cultural and natural heritage, which is characterized by a wealth of lakes, mountains and relative peace rarely found in the world in the 21st Century.
Skopje is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Macedonia. The territory of Skopje has been inhabited since at least 4000 BC. The city developed rapidly after World War II, but this trend was interrupted in 1963 when it was hit by a disastrous earthquake. In 1991, it became the capital city of an independent Macedonia. Skopje is located of northern Macedonia, in the center of Balkans, approximately halfway between Belgrade and Athens. Skopje has a population of 506,926 inhabitants, according to unofficial estimates for more recent period, the city has a population approximates 700,000 inhabitants.
Every student at Cyril and Methodius is part of the Students’ Union that helps students get involved, make friends and make the most of their time at College by organizing various activities.
