Audencia Nantes School of Management is a French business school founded in 1900. Audencia is consistently ranked in

The Country

The City

Nantes is a city in West France, located on the Loire River, 50 km from the Atlantic coast. The city is the 6th largest in France. It has been rated as the best place to live in France by Le Point magazine.Nantes, the capital of the “Pays de la Loire” region, originally developed around the castle of the Dukes of Brittany. The region is a popular tourist destination, drawing around two million visitors per year, and offers countless sights and attractions for students to take advantage. As of 2013, Nantes holds the title of European Green Capital awarded by the European Commission for its efforts to reduce air pollution and CO2 emissions, for its high quality and well-managed public transport system and for its biodiversity with 3,366 hectares of green spaces.

Student life

Students in particular enjoy a fantastic quality of life in Nantes: almost 20% of Nantes residents are young people from 16 to 25 years old who study in the city. The Audencia campus was created with the quality of the learning environment in mind. Student life at Audencia is particularly rich. In their free time, students can take part in a variety of activities with a focus on business, finance, sport, music, culture, humanitarian aid or international issues. There are around 30 student clubs on campus.

You have several different accommodation options in Nantes: there are student residences, young workers’ accommodation, hostels, host families, and private apartments. A number of helpful websites for finding housing in Nantes are given in the “Campus” section of the Audencia website. The Audencia International Office also has a list of approximately 200 families who host international students. Student residences are privately owned residences and generally offer furnished flats ranging from studios to two bedroom flats.

Travel opportunities

France has been the world’s most popular tourist destination for over twenty years. It has beautiful beaches, high mountains, finest historic monuments, magnificent castles and many more. Nantes is served by an international airport, Nantes Atlantique Airport and a major French railway station, the Gare de Nantes. It is just two hours from Paris, the capital and most populous city of France, and less than a 30 minute drive from the Atlantic coast. It is also easy to get from Nantes to London, Brussels and Geneva. Trains are a great way to get around in France. You can get pretty much from anywhere to anywhere else by train. For interregional trains you can book tickets online.
