Last week, Matea Hanžek and David Pranjić started attending lectures of the 9th UN Academy, an educational program organized by the the Croatian United Nations Association and the Diplomatic academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.
Out of more than 200 applicants, only 30 participants were selected – including public and private sector workers, as well as graduate and postgraduate students. The lecturers are leading experts in Croatia in the field of International Relations, with work experience at the UN, state administration bodies of the Republic of Croatia, the academic community and other international organizations.
The main part of the program offers insight into the basic structure and the bodies of the UN, while additional special lectures focus on culture, marking the European Year of Cultural Heritage.
