A project called Better Incorporation of Good Governance Principles for Better Volleyball Success, under the ERASMUS + SPORT Project, started with a transnational meeting at the Zagreb Panorama Hotel where coordinators of 6 national volleyball federations, as well as representatives from Faculty of Kinesiology in Split and Zagreb School of Economics and Management gathered.
The duration of the project is 24 months and the maximum amount of the grant is approx. 353.000,00 EUR.
The project’s goal is to implement good management of volleyball associations and clubs based on ten good management criteria.Based on the in-depth analysis of management of volleyball federations and principles of good management in Austria, Iceland, Italy, Poland, Slovenia and Croatia, examples of best practices will be identified and recommendations made.
The Zagreb School of Economics and Management and Faculty of Kinesiology in Split will determine the methodology of work as well as support the process of elaborating a five-year strategic and two-year action plan for six national volleyball federations as well as making tools for controlling and monitoring the realization of developed plans.The next transnational meeting will be held in mid-April in Rome (Italy), where all the coordinators and members of the BIGG4VB Project Team will gather, along with presidents and secretaries of all six national federations.
