Students from the Tourism course visited the Astoria Hotel and the Youth Hostel Zagreb under the guidance of Katarina Miličević, PhD and Matea Hanžek, MSc, MBA. The students at the hotel Astoria were hosted by Mrs. Ana Lozić, Sales and Reservation Coordinator who explained them in an interesting way the basic elements of the hotel business, which is also part of the Best Western hotel chain. After a tour of the hotel, students listened to an interesting lecture on hostels held by the Secretary General of the Croatian Federation and Hostile Association Mr. Dražen Gečević who met them during the tour with the characteristics of the hostel’s business. By the end of the semester, the students will encounter with several interesting activities, all aiming to get acquainted with the different elements of tourism business.
