Zoran Lukić

Zoran Lukić is a senior finance and investment banking professional and an external lecturer at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management.

He holds a Ph.D. degree summa cum laude in Economics and a M.Sc. degree in Operational Research, both from the Faculty of Economics, as well as a Dipl. Ing. degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Science, all from the University of Zagreb. He earned the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation from the CFA Institute.

He started his professional investment banking career in 2000 at Creditanstalt Investmentbank (CA IB) in Vienna. In 2004 he moved to CA IB Zagreb office, first as Assistant Director and then Member of the Board. After the merger of CA IB Zagreb into Zagrebačka banka within the UniCredit Group in 2008, he continued in Zagrebačka banka at the Managing Director level, first as Head of Capital Markets and then Head of New Markets in Southeast Europe. Since 2020 he has been an independent professional.

During his 19 years’ investment banking experience, he originated, structured, negotiated and closed numerous M&A and capital markets transactions, as financial advisor to corporations, governments and private equity funds, across Central and Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. His particular area of expertise includes corporate financial modelling and valuation, which he conducted for a number of high-profile international clients, as well as lectured in various internal courses.

He is a member of Croatian mathematical society and CFA Institute. In his younger days he was a winner of a bronze medal at the Junior fencing championship of Yugoslavia in 1989, and a recipient of the University of Zagreb Rector’s award in 1996. He was an active participant in democratic movements in 1989 and the youngest candidate in the 1990 parliamentary elections.
