In 2023, he defended his doctoral thesis entitled “Institutional Arrangement of the European Monetary Order in interaction with international relations within the European Union” and obtained the academic degree of Doctor of Science (Ph.D.). At the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb in 2001, he obtained a master’s degree (M.Sc.) in the field of accounting, finance, and auditing, and graduated in 1995 with a degree in finance. He trained professionally at numerous workshops and seminars in the country and abroad.

In his professional career, his areas of interest are accounting, financial reporting, and central banking. Employed since 1997 at the Croatian National Bank, where in 2017 he was appointed director of the Directorate of Finance and Accounting, where he is responsible for financial and accounting affairs and the compilation of basic financial reports of the CNB. He was one of the representatives of the CNB in the negotiation process with the European Commission for the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, and since 2013 he has been a member of the AMICO committee for monetary income and financial reporting at the European Central Bank (ESB). He led the project of harmonizing the accounting and financial reporting of the CNB with the Accounting Guidelines of the ECB in order to join the Eurosystem.

As an external associate – senior lecturer, he has been employed at ZŠEM since 2004. He has taught numerous financial and accounting courses at the undergraduate level, and for the last ten years he has been teaching at the graduate MBA level in English (Managerial Techniques, Controlling, Financial Reporting & Analysis, etc.) .). Published a number of scientific and professional articles in domestic and foreign magazines.
