Andrija Štajduhar

Andrija Štajduhar, PhD, is a postdoc at the Department of Medical Statistics, Epidemiology and Medical Informatics, School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. He obtained Ph.D. in computer science from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. He was a graduate research trainee at Montreal Neurological Institute, McGill University, Canada, after receiving Heathy Brains for Healthy Lives Talent program award from the same university. He finished undergraduate study of Mathematics at Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, and obtained masters degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at the same faculty.

He is one of the co-founders of Penkala, organisation for networking and doctorate student mobility. Last three years he was the main organizer of Brainhack in Zagreb. He is actively collaborating in two research projects funded by Croatian Science Foundation and has participated in several other national and international research projects. His main research interests lie in machine learning, statistics, computational neuroscience and medical image processing with diverse applications.
