After obtaining his master’s degree in Financial and Business Mathematics from the University of Zagreb in 2010, Ivan successfully gained his second master’s degree in Banking and
Entrepreneurship from Unicredit, Italy, in 2011. Ivan has also been a CFA Charterholder since 2018.
Ivan started his career as a Senior Quantitative Credit Risk Analyst at Zagrebacka Banka d.d. where he developed high-quality PD (probability of default) and EAD (exposure of default) models for the retail segment, reducing the bank’s RWA (risk-weighted assets). In 2013, Ivan joined Erste d.o.o., a mandatory and voluntary pension fund management company, as a Senior Analyst. This role included preparing comprehensive research and analysis of Croatian and international public listed companies, handling the relationship with the management board of invested companies, supervising and performing financial due diligence and company valuation during the process of the funds acquiring stakes in multiple companies. At his current position as the Head of Analysis, Ivan manages a team of junior and senior analysts, coordinates due diligence processes undertaken by funds, and provides equity, credit and macro analysis.
From June 2017 to June 2019, Ivan served as Supervisory Board member in Sunce Koncern d.d., where he oversaw the company’s general affairs and its operations in 12 hotels on the
Adriatic coast. Ivan took an active role in setting up a bonus scheme for the Management Board and key personnel in the company. He also assisted the Board relating to the economic
feasibility of the company’s individual capital investments.
Ivan is fluent in English and proficient in German and Italian. His hobbies are playing tennis, running and traveling.
