Doktorirao je na University of Cambridge u Engleskoj. Trenutno radi kao predavač Strategije marketinga na preddiplomskom studiju, MBA-u i na seminarima cjeloživotnog obrazovanja na Stephen M. Ross School of Business na University of Michigan u SAD-u. Također aktivno vodi radionicu na School’s William Davidson Institute koja je usmjerena na tranzicijska gospodarstva. Dr. Branch je započeo svoju akademsku karijeru kao profesor na Katedri za marketing na École Supérieure de Commerce de Rennes u Francuskoj. Bio je gostujući predavač na više od 40 poslovnih škola širom svijeta, uključujući Rotterdam School of Management u Nizozemskoj, Sveučilište Ljubljana u Sloveniji, ESAN u Peruu, te mnogim drugim. Predavao je na programima Executive Education za British American Tobacco, Coca-Cola-u, Nestlé, Cargill, Michelin i British Telecom.
